A short update as we are halfway through LGBT Pride Month.

First: All of the NSFW Files essays have been uploaded. These essays, focusing on the history of erotica, include essays on landmark gay fiction. Our Lady of the Flowers by Jean Genet (still my favorite novel of all time), Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs, and City of Night by John Rechy are now available to peruse. Tell me what you think about these essays in the comments. As a gay ally, it is important to highlight these literary masterpieces.*

Second: The Supreme Court’s landmark decision (Bostock v. Clayton County, Georgia) is an important and belated event for gay and transgender people. My review of On Christopher Street: Transgender Stories: Photographs by Mark Seliger will be forthcoming. Stay tuned. The book came out in 2016 and I’ve been long overdue in reviewing it.

Last: Due to work and life, I can’t update the blog as much as I like. That said, any LGBT-related book review not completed in June will be posted as time permits. I’ll put them in a category Pride Plus. Pride Month is only one time of the year, but the struggle for gay rights and gay liberation is a continuous struggle.
