Espress Shots: Things We Are Not: M-Brane SF Presents New Tales of the Queer, by Christopher Fletcher

A pretty good anthology of queer science fiction short stories. The stories dealt with issues like sexuality, identity, politics, and family. Some stories were great, others not so much. While some stories reach beyond the beige prose that permeates science fiction writing, other writers strive for stylistic excellence on par with William Gibson or Storm Constantine.

My major pet peeve has to do with production values. On my first read through, pages kept falling out. The binding was weak. The editor needs to discuss this with his publisher, since people will not want to buy a product that self-destructs almost instantaneously.
