Why are there so many dead links?

I recently received a message that the New York Journal of Books (NYJB) is shut down. Why is that? The short answer had to do with escalating web hosting costs, tariff war, etc.

In any case, I will begin the epic process of uploading my NYJB reviews directly on to the Driftless Area Review. Previously, I did a similar task when the Chicago Center for Literature and Photography (CCLaP) ceased operations.

So please be patient. I wrote a lot of reviews for them and uploading them will be a major undertaking. I will post updates about the progress.

While I do post infrequently and irregularly, the Driftless Area Review has no plans of shutting down. Current events may make one despair or furious, but this blog will weather the storm and endure. There’s plenty of reviews, essays, rants, raves, and other miscellany. Feel free to click away.
