Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure (Tim Burton, 1985)

During his cross-country sojourn to find his bike, Pee-Wee Herman (Paul Reubens) has to use the phone. Unbeknownst to this perpetual manchild, the leather-clad denizens let Pee-Wee know he’s in the company of the Satan’s Helpers. And they want to kill him! Luckily, these outlaw bikers are men of honor (… and women too … Cassandra Peterson, aka Elvira, Mistress of the Night … appears in a cameo). They let Pee-Wee have one last request.

What follows is one of the most iconic dance numbers of the Eighties. As Pee-Wee, dressed like a Midcentury Modern Ventriloquist Dummy, performs a dance that could only be described as “T-Rex having a spaz.”
