Conan O’Brien, along with Andy Richter, hosted a late night talk beginning in the mid-90s until 2009. There were many comedy bits and recurring characters. A memorable comedy bit involved imitating celebrities and politicians a la Clutch Cargo. The production quality was self-consciously bad. All are pretty funny, but the crowning achievement is with Don King. Like the Wake, it is a explosetastical celebratious salute to the English language. A televisual tour de farce, a coup d’etat in a coupe deville, a devilish dervish depositing deliquacious dollops of alliterative anarchy! Don’t be a stranger! Come see the anger in the manger!
